Lakebane Server 2 Patch Notes

These patch notes reflect the current changes as of April 17, 2026.

Equipment Changes
  • Elite Equipment attributes updated so that every piece is usable for most character builds.
  • All Elite Equipment can be junked for 1 Elite Fragment.
  • New Mythic Elite Armors are slightly improved versions of base Elite Armors. Cost is 10 Elite Fragments.
  • New Mystic Elite Armors have +2 to every spell resist over base Elite Armors. Cost is 10 Elite Fragments.
  • New Glorious Weapons are faster attacking versions of existing top line weapons and require 120 skill to equip.
  • Equipment can be socketed with Gems to enhance their attributes. Gems have different attributes and come in three tiers: Crude, Superior and Epic. They can be rolled by Gemsmiths.
  • Gemsmith contract can be purchased from Steward and slotted into Magic Shops.
  • Epic Gems will require Mithril, a resource only available from mines.
  • Socketing a new Gem into a piece of equipment will replace the existing Gem. The existing Gem is destroyed.
  • Existing top line enchantments have received an upgraded tier with an easy to recognizable name. For example, the upgraded tier of Peerless is simply Peerless II.
Recognition
  • Global announcement for killstreaks naming the killer and the number of kills.
  • Global announcement for ending a killstreak naming the killer and the length of the killstreak ended.
  • Discord message announcing the daily maintenance reboot will recognize the top killer since the last reboot.
  • Player kill statistics tracking added to the website: LakeBane Player Stats
  • Leaderboards for individual and nation achievements added to website: Lakebane Leaderboard
Zone Play and Mobility
  • All single recalls take 20 seconds. All group recalls take 30 seconds.
  • Every class except for Priest can now apply Huntsman or Bounty Hunter and gain access to track.
  • Taking Bounty Hunter prevents application of Huntsman and vice versa. You can only choose one.
  • Bounty Hunter “Detect Hidden” can see GM stealth with 20 trains. CD increased to 5 minutes.
  • Track can only see enemy players in load range (blue dot range). Once someone is in load range, you gain full track range on anyone in their nation.
  • Track arrow is now instant cast.
  • Group Translocation cannot be used outside of active bane and mine grids.
  • Translocation cooldown increased to 5 minutes.
  • Translocation cast time increased to 1 second and no longer breaks on damage.
  • Sprint and class sprints cannot be used when flying.
  • Logging out delayed by 1 minute when any non-nation member is in load range.
  • Summon delayed by 1 minute when any non-nation member is in load range of the person accepting the summon.
  • Summon target taking damage resets summon timer to 60 seconds.
  • Traditional Hotzones are removed, replaced with Fat’s Special Hotzone once a night.
  • All Runegate portals are open at all times.
  • Zone Teleport Portals added to the edge of every macrozone connecting to the next macrozone.
  • Zone Teleport Portals are marked on the minimap by a yellow dot (Portal Guardian NPC).
  • Elite Equipment droppers and Discipline rune droppers are stronger.
  • Subrace rune droppers added to game world.
  • All Discipline and Subrace rune droppers respawn times randomized with no global spawn message.
  • Elite Equipment droppers spawn at a random time 5-45 minutes after their last death.
  • Elite Equipment droppers have a random piece from their set instead of a specific piece.
  • Elite Equipment stats updated so every piece is usable for most character builds.
  • Seek out a hider mob that spawns in random zones with a wrapped rune gift in his inventory.
  • New “Dropship” ability available to all characters teleports you from safehold to random macrozone.
  • New “Player Divination” ability available to all characters leads you in the direction of the nearest player anywhere in the world. Excludes players in your group and players in safeholds.
Race Changes
  • Nephilim Shrine renamed to Chaos Shrine.
  • New race: Saetor can take Chaos boon.
  • Vampire fortitudes apply after resists instead of before, damage cap changed to 5%,
  • Vampire fortitudes granted free at Rank 20.
  • Vampire’s Kiss cast time reduced to 0.2 seconds from 4 seconds, cooldown reduced to 10 seconds from 30 seconds, base damage reduced from 35 to 15.
  • Vampire heal resistance decreased to 15%.
  • Nephilim resists to poison, lightning, magic, fire, cold, mental, and holy increased to +20. Holy increases to 0.
  • Nephilim can now apply Undead Hunter.
  • Human starting stats each increased by 10.
  • Aelfborn Wildkin’s Chase cooldown reduced to 30 seconds.
  • Aelfborn Wildkin’s Chase breaks roots and snares and grants immunity for 15 seconds.
  • Aelfborn Wildkin’s Chase grants 15% stacking movement speed buff.
  • Elf healers gain access to Archmage discipline.
  • Black Mask discipline can now be applied by Barbarian and Druid.
  • Sundancer discipline grants +50 Sundancing.
  • Sundancers granted Find Weakness (needs to be trained).
  • Warrior Sundancing Mastery weapon powers increased from R30 to R40.
  • Bladeweaver discipline grants +50 Bladeweaving.
  • Blademaster discipline grants +50 Blademastery.
  • Irekei movespeed increased by 5%.
  • Irekei healers gain access to the Blood Prophet discipline.
  • Elf heal resistance reduced to -15%.
  • Elf Subrace rune application cost lowered to 0.
  • Human Subrace rune application cost lowered to 0.
  • Shade Hide allows movement without training sneak.
  • Skydancer “Talon Dance” stacks with other damage buffs.
  • Skydancer “Will of the Skydancer, Talon Dance, Dance of the Updrafts” durations increased to 30 minutes.
  • Savant “Litany of Serenity” mana regen buff granted free at Rank 20.
  • Savant “The Stare” root+snare cast time decreased to 0.2 seconds.
Character Changes
  • Max level increased to 80. Levels 71-80 can only be gained by PvP and each level grants 1 ability point (no skill points)
  • 5th Discipline rune slot granted at level 80.
  • Every Discipline rune applied now grants an additional base stat bonus with no fill cost.
  • Starting trait runes for spell resistances (Blessed, Blood of the Desert, Blood of the North, Changeling, Iron Will, Snake Handler, Stormborn) increased to +10.
  • Shadowmantle effect duration decreased to 15 seconds.
  • Contagion now castable on players.
  • Toughness no longer gets free scaling from stats.
  • Running no longer gets free scaling from stats.
  • Athletics no longer gets free scaling from stats.
  • Stuns apply a grounding effect for the duration of the stun.
  • Hide allows use of Backstab but powerblocks the caster for 3 seconds.
  • Sneak cast time increased to 5 seconds.
  • Clanwarden can now be applied by any healer.
  • Clanwarden Simeron’s Song (power damage buff) removed.
  • Clanwarden Shaper’s Sanction (holy expose) reduced to 20 trains for -30 holy resist.
  • Blood Prophet Flame Trance now stacks with health regeneration chants.
  • Huntsman “Skin the Beast” can strip all level 40 animal forms.
  • Huntsman “Skin the Beast” reduced to 50 range.
  • All class specific +150 defense buffs stack with all other defense buffs.
  • All characters gain 1,000 hitpoints.
  • All characters gain 200 stamina.
  • Mage Shielding physical resists increased to 45%.
  • Nightstalker, Crusader, Assassin, Undead Hunter, Ratcatcher: Weapon enchant durations increased to 30 minutes.
  • Forgemaster: Hone Weapon/Harden Armor duration and cooldown are all set to 30 minutes.
  • Hitroll required for Templar weapon power (Sword of Saint Malorn).
  • Templar “Sway the Balance” mana cost increased to 200.
  • Hitroll required for Huntress weapon powers (Naargal’s Dart and Bite).
  • Potions no longer break forms, stealth or travel stance.
  • Most self-buffs no longer break forms, stealth or travel stance.
  • Fury of Wind no longer debuffs ATR.
  • Fury Call Storm recast cooldown reduced to 1 second, is no longer persistent.
  • Dodge rate of spells changed to 1/8 of skill.
  • Prelates granted “Join Heaven’s Host” transformation.
  • Bard “Ashton Kai’s Irresistible Dance” root duration reduced to 10 seconds at all ranks.
  • Mage “Spectral Bonds” root duration reduced to 10 seconds at all ranks.
  • Confessor “Sanction of the Temple” root duration reduced to 10 seconds at all ranks.
  • Priest “Grasp of the All-Father” root duration reduced to 10 seconds at all ranks.
  • Priest “Sanction” stun duration reduced to 11 seconds at Rank 40.
  • Priest “Blessed Restoration” cast time decreased to 2.5 seconds.
  • Priest “Tend the Wounded” cast time increased to 3 seconds.
  • Priest Boon no longer grants +150 defense, restoration granted increased from +30 to +60.
  • Healer “Blessed Mending” healing increased.
  • Crusader “Sacrifice” efficiency reduced to 200% at Rank 40.
  • Medium Armor granted to all healer bases.
  • Bounty Hunter “Trip” cast time decreased to 0.1 seconds (instant).
  • Rogue “Hide” cooldown increased to 30 seconds.
  • Summoner new ability “Call to the Beasts” aggros mobs in large radius.
  • Warlock “Battlemind” duration increased to 1800 seconds.
  • Greatsword power “Gut Wrencher” now requires 110 greatsword skill.
  • Ranger “Grasp of Thorns” snare dot cast time decreased to 0.2 seconds, cooldown 5 seconds.
  • Ranger “Bite of the Pack” group damage chant cast time decreased to 0.2 seconds.
  • Ranger “Bite of the Pack” granted free at Rank 40, Rank 40 “Zeal” required.
  • Ranger “Wolf’s Vigor” stamina regen buff granted free at Rank 40.
  • Ranger “Braialla’s Power” stat buff granted free at Rank 40.
  • Ranger “Race the Hare” class sprint duration increased to 90 seconds.
  • Ranger “Zeal” “Wolf’s Vigor” and Herb Lore buff durations increased to 30 minutes.
  • Scout “Detect Hidden” granted free at Rank 40.
  • Nightstalker “Blessing of Dawn” personal dispel granted free at Rank 40.
  • Nightstalker granted Class Sprint, 55% movespeed increase for 60 seconds.
  • Nightstalker “Put to the Torch” dot cast time decreased to 2 seconds.
  • Mage “Reflection” damage shield now only lasts 1 hit, but damage dealt increases to 500.
  • Mage “Reflection” cast time increased to 5 seconds.
  • Mage “Reflection” now dispels all negative effects when successfully cast, including dots.
  • Wyrmslayer “Drakesbreath” weapon power now grounds for the full DoT duration.
  • Bard “Song of Spring” elemental resists reduced to +30/+30/+30.
  • Assassin, Thief and Blackmask: “Pellegorn” now applies grounding effect for 60 seconds.
  • Assassin, Thief and Blackmask: “Buchinine” and “Gorgon’s Venom” effects combined into one ability.
  • Assassin, Thief and Blackmask: “Galpa” and “Magusbane” effects combined into one ability.
Other Balance Changes
  • Safehold trainers increased to R5.
  • Added scaling to hit chance formula; hit rate is no longer all or nothing.
  • Boon strength now determined by votary rank instead of offering rank.
  • Castable enchants are stripped anytime they leave inventory.
  • Castable buffs are stripped anytime you leave the caster’s load range.
  • Hitpoint suffix enchant buffed across all tiers, Ymir/Thurin add +100/+125 health.
  • Existing spell resist prefixes reduced to +20 (top random roll) and +24 (resource roll).
  • Existing spell resist suffixes reduced to +12 (top random roll).
Quality of Life
  • Magic items are automatically identified when picked up.
  • Items can be deleted from inventory for full gold value. Deleting prevented when inventory gold cap of 200 million would be exceeded. Gold can’t be deleted.
  • All Concs are Perfect Concs and duration has been increased to 3 hours to match castable buffs.
  • Every TOL draws a flat maintenance rate of 3 million gold per week regardless of rank. Other buildings and assets no longer draw maintenance.
  • You can no longer be taxed by the R8 in your realm.
  • Maintenance is drawn at the next server reboot after your weekly scheduled maintenance time.
  • Tree decay time is sped up to clear out inactive trees. If maintenance is missed the next maintenance will run in 1 day instead of in 1 week.
  • TOL can slot Banker, Sage, Alchemist, and Siege Engineer in addition to Runemaster.
  • TOL granted 2-4 extra hireling slots depending on rank.
  • All Runegate Portals are active at all times – no Traveler Discipline needed.
  • Stance changes no longer require combat.
  • Anyone in nation can take boons.
  • Resources automatically stack.
  • ./printstats ./printresists ./printskills ./printpowers
  • All new characters start at level 10 ready to promote with an outstanding flimsy weapon of ruin.
  • A Conc pot and 1,000 gold training gold are received after promotion.
  • New characters get progression bonuses to speed up newbie island progression.
  • Peace realm mobs (newbie island) no longer drop gold or items. Gold added to inventory each time leveling up from level 11-20.
  • Characters with Deathshroud gain +50% movespeed.
  • Sage can repair all items.
  • Global chat channel on by default.
  • Potions no longer break forms, stealth or travel stance.
  • Daily maintenance reboot at 6:00 pm ET.
  • Player graves despawn after 10 minutes.
  • Player corpses that haven’t released within 10 minutes are forced to release.
  • Experience scaling now takes into account party size. Experience rates are higher and more intuitive.
  • No experience penalty for non-blue mobs.
  • Additional boxes are PVE flagged, cannot attack or cast on other players. Summon excluded.
  • PVE boxes are unable to participate in activities such as banes or arenas.
  • PvP and Godly rune announcements print zone name in addition to camp name.
  • Repledging to closed trees within nation is disabled – an actual invite is needed to jump between guilds. This allows nations to control which players are in which guild.
  • Declining a summon gives the cooldown back.
  • Shrines can now be deleted.
  • Killing mobs will now automatically loot them. This can be toggled off with the ./autoloot command.
  • New “Junk” ability available to all characters deletes all equipment in your inventory. Excludes Glass and Elite Equipment.
  • All offering drops converted to Elan Stones. Good for any shrine but only 1 charge.
  • New command ./stackelans combines all Elan Stones in your inventory into 1 stack.
  • Telescreen disabled.
  • Autoranking: Buildings and vendors will automatically rank when the previous ranking is complete if there is gold in the strongbox.
  • Inventory, bank, building, warehouse gold limits all dramatically increased.
  • Inventory carrying capacity scaling increased to 10 weight per Strength.
Economy
  • Every TOL draws a flat maintenance rate of 3 million gold per week regardless of rank. Other buildings and assets no longer draw maintenance.
  • R8 trees no longer have resource creation costs and are exempted from maintenance.
  • You can no longer be taxed by the R8 in your realm.
  • All runes can be junked for 1 Rune Shard. Merchant in SDR sells Prospector for 1 Rune Shard, most other runes for 5 Rune Shards, and Godly Runes for 10 Rune Shards.
  • Merchant in SDR sells Elan stones 10 units for 1 million gold.
  • Traditional Hotzones are removed, replaced with Fat’s Special Hotzone once a night.
  • No distance penalty for mine production.
  • Stat runes and craftsmen contracts are now rare global drops (1/250).
  • Glass is now an extremely rare global drop.
  • Racial guard contracts are now an extremely rare global drop.
  • Lower level mobs have a lower global drop rate than higher level mobs.
  • R8 mobs removed from the game.
  • Fate peddler sells random stat rune for 2 million gold and chance at glass for 1 million gold.
  • Quests can be picked up from a NPC in SDR and completed to receive gold and experience rewards as an alternative to farming.
  • Quest levels 1-9 will award a random crude gem. Quest level 10 will award a wrapped rune gift.
  • Accepting a summons will cancel your quest.
  • All Elite Equipment can be junked for 1 Elite Fragment.
  • Merchant in SDR sells most elite equipment for 2 Elite Fragments, and new Mythic/Mystic elite equipment for 10 Elite Fragments.
Mines
  • Merchant in SDR sells Prospector for 1 Rune Shard.
  • New ability “Poor Man’s Claim” available to all
  • No distance penalty for mine production.
  • Nation mine claim limit removed.
  • Mines are automatically burned down and do not require bashing.
  • Mine owners can teleport to mines 5 minutes after they close.
  • Mines soft limit – bringing more than the target cap results in a % debuff to damage and heals.
  • Mines flex cap – you receive a buff based on the cap size and the group size of the largest enemy group in the zone. If all groups are the same size there is no buff, even if both sides are below cap.
  • Players who enter the mine radius count towards the limit for 3 minutes after they leave.
  • ./zerg command prints all nations at the mine and their zerg modifier.
  • ./zergcount commands prints your nation members at the mine and how long until they drop off the count if they’ve left.
  • Prospector discipline can now be applied by any class.
  • Active mines spawn non-aggressive mine commander mobs with elevated rune drop rate and fast respawn.
  • Mine commanders give limited PvP XP and allow for progression from level 71-80.
  • Universal mines produce any resource type based on a fixed gold value.
  • Mithril, a resource required for Epic Gems, can only be produced by mines.
  • Mines now award 1M value (in the form of a junkable Glass gift) to all living players in load range of the mine, even if they didn’t win the claim. Limited to the mine cap +1 for each nation.
City Building
  • Guild seed base cost increased to 3 million gold base, no safehold markup.
  • Safehold steward and builder markup set to 0%.
  • R1 trainer buildings get 3 trainer slots.
  • Every TOL draws a flat maintenance rate of 3 million gold per week regardless of rank. Other buildings and assets no longer draw maintenance.
  • You can no longer be taxed by the R8 TOL in your realm.
  • R8 TOL grants 10% bonus hitpoints to city walls.
  • R8 TOL grants extra shrine.
  • Nations no longer have a maximum tree limit.
  • Reverse KOS function removed from TOL.
  • Maintenance is drawn at the next server reboot after your weekly scheduled maintenance time. Tree decay time is sped up, if maintenance is missed the next maintenance will run in 1 day instead of in 1 week.
  • TOL granted 2-4 extra hireling slots depending on rank.
  • TOL can slot Banker, Sage, Alchemist, and Siege Engineer in addition to Runemaster.
  • Sage can repair all items.
  • Shrines can now be deleted.
  • Autoranking: Buildings and vendors will automatically rank when the previous ranking is complete if there is gold in the strongbox.
  • Building gold limits and warehouse resource limits increased.
Sieges
  • Bane attacker assumes ownership of assets after winning offensive bane.
  • Assets can no longer be deleted when baned.
  • Bane defender can set 10v10, 20v20, 30v30, 40v40, or unlimited.
  • 10v10 option is removed for nations who own more than 5 trees.
  • 20v20 option is removed for nations who own more than 10 trees.
  • Bane setting is a soft limit – bringing more than the target cap results in a % debuff to damage and heals.
  • Players who enter the bane radius count towards the limit for 3 minutes after they leave.
  • ./zerg command prints all nations at the bane and their zerg modifier.
  • ./zergcount commands prints your nation members at the bane and how long until they drop off the count if they’ve left.
  • ./banes command prints information for all banes on the server.
  • Nations no longer have a maximum tree limit.
  • Bane defender gets to choose the day of the bane in a window up to 7 days from when the banestone was dropped.
  • Only one bane can be placed against a nation at a time.
  • Sapper discipline can now be applied by any class.
  • Artillerist discipline can now be applied by any class.
  • R7 capital cities cannot be baned before other R7 and R8 trees in the same nation. R8 capital cities are not offered the same protection.
Arena
  • Queue for 1v1 arena matches in SDR. Level 20 minimum requirement to queue.
  • Combatants are chosen at random from all players in the queue. Players not chosen for the match will instead be able to spectate the match.
  • Arena participation prize added, full set of pots, bundled recalls, free repair, and 50k gold.
  • Arena wins for the first 6 hours after reset have a small chance of awarding a random rune, random glass, or an elite shard.
  • Arena disables flight after 30 seconds and disables stealth after 1 minute.
  • Arena increases participant damage at 5 minutes, and then again at 6 minutes and 7 minutes. If the match has not concluded in 8 minutes, it declared a draw and both participants exit.
